Dr Mohamed Abdelghani, Consultant Psychiatrist and medical director of Dyad Medical and London TMS Centre, has been elected as Vice President / President-elect of the Clinical TMS Society.

The Clinical TMS Society is the largest TMS professional association in the world. Dr Abdelghani started his 1-year term as Vice President on 13th June 2021 and in the summer of 2022, he will start his 1-year term as President of the society.

He is the first person from outside the USA to be elected to this position in the society. He has served in other leadership roles in the society as he was the Secretary of the society between 2019 – 2021 and he has been on the Board of Directors for the last 4 years. Dr Abdelghani has also served as co-chair of the outreach committee of the society for the last 3 years.

Dr Abdelghani said that he is humbled and honoured to be elected to this leadership role in the society and he said that he is looking forward to working with the Board of Directors and the nine standing committees to take the Clinical TMS Society to new horizons.

He will focus during his tenure as Vice President under presidency of Dr Randy Pardell on increasing membership of the society, promoting activities of the society in different parts of the world especially in areas where there is a clear need for high quality TMS training and education, improve insurance coverage and increase TMS public awareness.
